Silly Putty and Shhhhhhhhhht
(C) Stephanie R. Josiah 2012
Today a new feeling has slipped up on me.
Something I had forgotten
perhaps trapped between the silly putty
and the toy I wedged it in
I never did get that dang putty out
I digress
a dream I had
a way I wanted to be before this world
ripped that plan out of my hands
and replaced it with a steaming
terd
no rainbows anymore
just feces
and I've been shoveling the
"stuff" this life and "their" butts
or mouths have leaked
ever since
well I say "no more".
I may have to step around it
when you drop it
but I'm not picking it up for you
I remember that little girl
27 years of dreaming
and princes riding in to save the day
they never came, they always left
and they still do
but I
I still have me
and those dreams
I scribbled in putty
everyone else can keep their
shhhhhhhht

Squeeze Yourself IN!!!
"To live but to not be your best self is to die from the slow poison of cowardice. Dare to be better than you've ever been... You deserve to bless yourself too. If you've forgotten that, treat yourself to a beautiful day doing something that feeds what is beautiful about you. Squeeze it in now... Later may not catch your dreams!!"
